I am a student. I think that this topic basically means the extent to which people believe in models. In my opinion the phenomenon of being modeled is not understood completely by all people. A model is just a representation of something. It is not the thing itself. "The map is not the territory". People think of models as the real thing and not the representation of the real thing.
